Fire Service Highlights:

Chief Santoro's tenure was that of many "firsts".  Chief Santoro played a major role in the purchase of the present Engine 36, helped secure the referendum to renovate the fire headquarters, appointed the first Safety Officer in Department History, initiated the first TMFD physical program, and purchased the rescue boats.

While Chief Santoro had his share of emergencies as chief, one of his most memorable moments was the rescuing of residents on Hommocks and Dillon Rds. during the Nor'easter.
